It appears that Dravit Grey cannot be ordered for the X5 4.0. Is that correct, is it possible to get on the 4.0 or m50 only?. Thank you.

certain BMW Individual paint colors are offered on specific variants. there are also limitations to certain features with certain Individual colors. did you check through the BMW Visualizer?

TL;DR version of BMW X5 paint options:

USA BMW X5 M50i paint options = serial paints ($550), serial Individual ($1950) or 490 Individual Manufaktur ($5000-5500)

USA BMW X5 40i / 45e paint options = serial paints ($550) or 490 Individual Manufaktur ($5000-5500)

BMW Individualizer isn't market specific and shows paint colors all 3 tiers of BMW paint options:

- Serial paints = standard production paints (free or $550 and available on all X5 models)
- Serial Individual = unique metallic paints ($1950 and limited by BMW model and/or market)
- Individual Manufaktur = Code 490 special paints ($5000-$5500 available for X5 model selected)

Dravit Grey is a $1950 serial Individual paint color option available only on USA model M50i, including Tanzanite Blue II and Ametrin Metallic. Even though DG is listed on the BMW Individualizer, it's not available or not available for special request or custom order USA 40i or 45e models.

For other international markets DG is available on 40i or 45e, go figure and it's a BMWNA thing.

BTW the current X5 model you're referring to is the X5 40i (not 4.0)

C39 Limerock Grey, P6K Nardo Grey, P6M Grigio Telesto Pearl and 440 Stratus Grey, is available as 490 special paint order - $5000

Booklyn Grey is a serial paint and limited to USA model:

- 2 Series
- 4 Series coupes, convertibles and gran coupes
- X3 and X4 models
- ///M3 sedans and ///M4s coupes and convertibles
- BMW i4 gran coupes
