I placed my order a week or so ago. I spent WAY to much time on this forum trying to decide on the build, now that it's ordered I can't wait! Serious thanks to everyone around here for all the help!

2019 X5 xDrive50i

MSRP: $87,731
Dealer Discount: $5439.70 (6.2%)
Sale Price: $82292.30

Gesture Credit: $190

Doc Fee: $144
Acquisition Fee: $925
Residual Value: 58% (12K miles)
Money Factor: .00188

Monthly Payment: $1249
($1500 cash due at signing)

Going to do the Performance Center Delivery despite the 9 hour drive home. I'm new to BMW and it looks like too much fun to pass up!

My wife and I are on visa. And we are trying to apply for $7,500 (minimum) loan to get the $2,000 credit. The CA and the financial director insisted on letting school issue a visa sponsorship letter. And this still happened after we gave them our bank statements, pay stubs, and visa documents.

The points here are : 1. I doubt school will issue a letter on a personal request (Buy a car). We will see what school says today. 2. The letter they insisted is not listed on the BMW FS loan checklist. The finance director said the additional letter was based on his conversation with BMW financial bank (buyer). And it is case by case. He is just the middle man. And at the end of day it is still BMW's money, it's their call to the approve the credit.

I feel like the whole doesn't make sense. Anyone has or knows similar situation here? Is the $1,000 I put down when I ordered the car refundable? Thanks.
I was in your shoes a few years ago...both my wife and I are physicians on a visa (J1 to be specific) ... tried leasing acura and mercedes in the past... Mercedes flat out refused even though we offered to pay the whole 3 yr lease payments upfront...acura accepted and we took the car home until 1 week later dealer called us and said we can't keep the car with you guys unless a co-signer is available...I wanted to throw the damn thing in their face and have them take a loss on the car but my wife loved the acura RDX so I had my father cosign for us...we leased hondas and nissans before and it was a nonissue...unfortunately luxury cars like bmw, Mercedes tend to be more strict specially with foreigners since the visa usually has an expiration date and thats what they're afraid of...leaving the country and abandoning the car payments before maturation of lease... your deposit should be absolutely refundable..i would walk away if you're not too attached to the car...not sure your school would provide such a letter...I'm also not sure what king of visa you're on but we haven't had any issues like this since becoming on a H1B visa which is a work visa...hope this helps...

What is car club rebate ? I am not getting it. Is it the same for X3 ? In my previous post I was also referencing X3 rebates. Is it different for X5 ?

If you sign up for BMW CCA, you get that credit through them.

X3 = $500
X5 = $1,000

For So. California BMW website shows $2000. These are regional so your area may be different.

A couple of more data points on this. The sale price went down from $70485 to $70,310 once they factored in the gesture control credit at their cost of $175.

The deal sheet shows this as being $1000 Under invoice. The invoice worksheet matches what you can find on Edmunds plus a $180 "training/service fee". So the deal was Invoice at 71,310 minus $1000 to arrive at sale price (before promotions) of $70,310.

Regarding the training/service fee, here's a quote from an old thread that discusses it and says it is a real cost to the dealer: "The training fee is added to the invoice by BMW, same way MACO (MArketing COop) fees would be if the dealer is in a MACO agreement area. It's not negotiable. It covers the cost of BMWNA training the dealer, not the customer receiving some training. It's not a new fee, it's been around for a long time. It doesn't show up on ED cars.

The problem is that everyone uses the term "invoice price" to refer to the wholesale price lists. Training fees and MACO fees have no MSRP equivalent, so they don't show up on some car pricing sites. They do, however, exist on the invoice that the dealer gets from BMWNA."

My quote here in San Jose is:

MSRP $74,380 (includes $190 credit for gesture control).
Discount $4570
Rebates $3500 (not broken out by type, assuming finance and loyalty)
Adjusted Price $66,310

That's just about 11% off MSRP. I'll also be taking advantage of the BMWCCA rebate ($870 net), but since that is independent of the dealer I didn't factor it into the quote.

In my county taxes are a killer - $6290 (!).

In the initial write up (on 2/1), interest was 3.89% (with $20k down), where it had been 2.89% the day before. I challenged this and so she changed it to 2.89%. Looking at the dealer website just now, it's 2.89% so not sure if it was a mistake or a bit of sleight of hand.

I have read that sales are down. Nonetheless, I am surprised that a new vehicle has such large rebate promotions as well as dealers willing to cut prices so much. Good for us!

Do you also follow the X3 forums (a member:shoutout to dj_intrinsic ) or are you aware of this OL code going on in the NorCal/bay?

1,000 credit - believe its stackable. Just apply and you'll get a code in a few minutes.

Let me know if It works/or doesn't.

Tell them after.

I tried to use a similar lunar new year offer last year when we bought an x1. That was an in stock car so one would think it would work. I was not able to get it to stack with the other promotions at the time (which included a costco certificate/fleet deal loyalty, and finance credit). It was very confusing but in the end did not use the certificate as the other promotions stacked or were somehow more compatible.

I'd try it on my pending purchase but it is an ordered car which seems not to apply. Hopefully it does stack for everyone else!

Sadly, the link says it's for in-stock vehicles only, "This offer cannot be used for previously ordered or previously delivered vehicles and is only valid on delivery of in-stock vehicles." Runs through 4/30/19.

I suppose you could register and hope a dealer got one in stock by the end of April that had what you were looking for.

If you're in So. California, a dealer just emailed me that he will discount an ordered car which in this case was to have an MSRP of $76,030 (includes gesture credit of $190) for $70,000 plus any rebates you qualify for ($1500 loyalty and/or $2,000 purchase finance credit). PM me if you want the name. I have already ordered my car at $310 higher than this from my local dealer.

Can anyone share tips on extended warranty and maintenance plans negotiation? Specifically what is the best % off list price anyone was able to get.

Going to take delivery of X5 40 in a few weeks and planning on picking up the extras

thanks

Any idea if he's willing to do the same 7.9% off on other configurations? Not sure if you meant the $76030 MSRP is your configuration or the minimum he wants to give that discount.

My configuration was $76,030 and he offered the car at $70,000 plus any rebates/incentives one can qualify for. I can't speak for him but I don't know why he would not discount similarly for another car of the same model.

Question What Kinds of Pricing/Deals are You Guys Getting?

So there are @ 3 dealers here locally (Dallas area). And generally I've purchased my Bimmers pre-owned. My wife leases her vehicles and we received a corporate discount on GM products.

I received a quote and I'm being told is the "best deal I can hope for on a G05", which is $4k off of sticker.
I'm pretty sure I've seen far better pricing around here or online somewhere?
10-13% off MSRP...

Even if you're not from Texas and have or about tp purchase/lease, please share?
