I have an X6 M60i on order with an anticipated 9/26/23 production date. Question: how and when do customers find out about any features/options deleted from their build? Can I track via F12-reported options list? Is the state of this options list once goes to assembly a reliable indicator of what will be delivered? Or does vehicle just show up at dealership or PC with stuff missing?

That list is accurate as to what will be on the vehicle. Currently no options/features are being deleted once ordered that I know of so you should be fine. I think Car Eye is the only accessory being deleted.

To answer your other question, when things were being deleted customers were rarely told about it by their dealer. Those tracking it found out by using F12 and most found out when they went for delivery.

I believe many of us not intimately familiar with the order and tracking process get a little nervous after hearing some of the posts about vehicles showing up with missing stuff. As I am doing PCD, I am paying for vehicle in full prior to picking it up half way across the country, so really don't want any surprises.

I ordered an X6 40i called last week and they said it will be in production soon,
but there is no ventilated seats. Any idea how long they have been deleting ventilated seats for 40i’s
Turtle do you think February may see less deletions due to it being a slower month?

The M60i will be built as ordered with the exception of the "Eye". BMW isn't gonna piss off buyers of their premium SUV.

We have not heard of them being deleted from orders once accepted but I guess that could have happened. The ventilated seats have not been available for the 40i's for awhile now and have come and gone over the last few years. I would not count on any time or theory as to when they will be back. Supposedly supply chain issues will start to normalize by the end of the year but that of course is just the experts speculating.

As said earlier there are currently no deletions of options and features but when there was it didn't matter what model there was. We had folks with the M50i's and X5M's effected with things being deleted once the order as accepted and even once it hit 150 status, which of course is very unusual.
