OBD Port stopped working

For the second time now, after disconnecting the negative battery terminal and reconnecting my obd port fails to provide power or to be working.
No fuses have blown all else works as expected with the car. No cluster warnings or anything.

Also where can I find a good diagram for the fuses including their location and what the fuses control?

It’s the damn weirdest thing how the obd port just stopped working

Will the simple act of pulling the negative terminal and reconnecting it after a few minutes cause the obd port to not work anymore?
Almost as if something got ‘tripped’ ?
Anyone have diagram showing which fuses I can check for obd power?

working
There's a paper map for these folded up and placed in the rear power distribution panel. There are multiple distribution panels in the vehicle by the way and the power management will put them to sleep if the vehicle is not running for an about 20 min I think. What makes you think the OBD port stopped working? What are you connecting to it? Are you sure the device you're connecting to OBD is not faulty?

Fuse location is Passenger Foot/Kick panel, Fuse number 2 7.5A.

So the OBD Cx dongle stopped working and the dealer was also unable to use their code reader.
It happened once before when I disconnected the battery and proceder to attempt the LIEB CEL delete install into the BDC - I didn’t go through with it when I unbuttoned everything…

So my tech did the LIEB install and he too now noticed the OBD has no power, not working.

All else works a treat but no OBD power

Sounds like something got knocked loose or pinned incorrectly when installing or attempting to install the LIEB. I'd check that Fuse I posted earlier. If not, you may be forced to remove the Lieb and put everything back to stock first and make sure it's all pinned according to factory and everything is seated properly, all connectors and fuses. I'd say with confidence, you're problem exists in that kick panel.

Not sure if this will give you what you want, but you can download a PDF with fuse locations specific to your vehicle by entering your VIN at this BMW website;

Thanks, yea I found that as well. Did not get to the fuse in BDC but checked the other two and and they were fine.

Yes I turned off vehicle and left unlocked then removed the neg battery terminal. Checked the two fuses I had access to that are not part of the BDC and they were fine.
