Quad Exhaust Tips
The only person I’m aware of who has a decent looking quad exhaust setup without replacing their exhaust is boneca. During my research I stumbled upon these. Anyone want to be the guinea pig? Price isn’t bad but shipping doubles the cost at least for me. On a 40i or 45e, does anyone know the diameter of the exhaust pipes before they become oval shape?

I wouldn't want to cut off my original exhaust tip.
But, from your link I found these for a 440i which seem to have the same size exhaust tip as us on our 40i?? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005...46587164%21rec Very tempted to try! |

Do this slide over the existing exhaust without having to cut anything and would you need to remove the sleeves around the exhaust for them to fit?

It does look like they would just slide over, and yes I think you'd need to remove the plastic exhaust trim.

These seem to be new. I had been looking around for a while and finally found some. However, I don’t like the fact that you have to remove the exhaust cover/trim.

Thanks for sharing
Seems like no matter what the option the exhaust trim will need to be removed, unless the tips are small - but looks good when removed and the tips are a solid size |

It's also a hassle to take off the trim as you have to remove the rear valance, etc. Some people even took off the entire bumper just to do it. I looked into it myself and didn't think it was worth it -- at least for now or until I get a new carbon fiber valance. So unless you really want to go to that trouble of bigger tips just for cosmetic purposes, then I'd probably just put it off.
