Trying to order an X5 40i in the Houston,TX area, does anyone have any dealership recommendation? Is it possible to push for 8% MSRP before incentives? So far I haven't got any luck yet... willing to drive couple of hours around TX/LA..

Best I can find right now is 5% off MSRP which is what they are saying invoice price.
One broker who deals with Texas region told me they can get to 6.5% off MSRP ($599 broker fee).
Another out of Texas broker I inquired told me they are able to get 8% off MSRP ($599 broker fee) but we have pay to have the car shipped to us.

While the broker route sounds simplistic my personal preference would be to take the 5% from my local dealer who has an allocation in hand. At the very least I’d agree to pay a brokerage fee only after receiving a production number. The flip side is that having a car delivered to a out of state dealer presents an opportunity to fly there to fetch it and have a road trip home. Easy for me to say as I’m retired and have no schedule.

What's a PCD?

I want to custom build. Seems all the stock I run into has a lot of crap on them I don't want/need.

A broker can get you 5% off plus incentives.
