K-Mac Camber Upper Wishbone Adjustable Bushings

Has anyone tried replacing their bushings with these instead of replacing their upper arms from those of the G05 50i? Probably similar price in the end, but possibly a bit more adjustment and keep the beefier arms?

I’ve asked the forum a couple times. I’m getting pretty tired of my negative camber, I’m thinking about giving these a whirl.

So if I lowered the vehicle on lowering springs I should install this to make the front tire wear better?

Adjustable bushings arrived today and they included an extraction tool for the old bushings that says "no arm removal" :-). Will try to get installed and align tomorrow, but will likely be early next week...

Keep us posted. I fail to see how it’s possible to install that without removing the arm. With MSS you have to drop the whole strut to even access those two bolts since there isn’t any room to get a tool in there.

Off to a rough start, the bushing extraction tool that came with the kit does not fit over the M upper arms. Had to shave about 8mm to get it over. Will report back shortly...

Spoke to K-MAC in Australia (they have really great support), and they accidentally packaged the wrong extraction tool in my kit. Once the extraction tool was modified to fit the M upper wishbone, extraction went pretty quick:

We did shave the rubber off the end of the old bushings to make it a bit easier to extract:

New bushings pressed in easily and the upper arm was reinstalled, you can see the new adjustment rings on the insides of the arm between the bushing and the bolts. We also replaced the torx connecting bolts on the uppers with hex bolts to make adjustment a bit easier:

Aligned with expected results:

Overall, install was not terrible and would have taken about 4hrs if we did not need to modify the tool.

This is definitely a much cheaper alternative to replacing the upper arms and gives a lot of room for adjustment. High quality bushings and great support from K-MAC, I'd say this kit is a win...

Nice, I think I'll order this kit instead of swapping for the X5 control arms. Hopefully I don't have the same issue.

Was the wrong press tool in the correctly labeled box? Curious what I may expect.

They had a different part number I guess for the kit with the bigger extraction tool. I would call or email them to confirm after you place your order:

Damn - just replaced my arms with the x5 ones. Wears way better but the aggressive look is gone, a little less sporty on the drive but maybe that’s just me.

What type of wrench is needed to adjust this? That's a big question so whomever adjusts this, does it correctly without using the wrong tool and damaging something.

I wanted to chime in here on how amazing the customer service from K-Mac is. You call and the legend answers the phone and is always willing to answer questions and address any concerns. Highly recommend this route, and this company.

We were able to turn the bushing in place when loosened by leveraging flathead screwdriver in the slits on the outer metal ring of the bushing.

Once tightened down, the nord washer on the end secures the bushing in position.

Most of the adjustments were made where we thought it should be before putting the wheels back on and tossing on the rack, made the alignment quick and easy.

We also replaced the torx through bolts on the top of control arms with hex bolts to make it easier to loosen and tighten with an air ratchet.
