Thumbs up RG Sport - Eventuri Carbon Fiber Turbo Inlet ** NEW PRODUCT!! **

Just released!!!
Eventuri Carbon Fiber Turbo Inlet for F95/F96 X5M/X6M is finally here.
Keep in mind when ordering, S63tu and S68 uses 2 different Turbo Inlet.
Currently taking pre-order. First delivery is roughly in 2 weeks from today.

Here is their official write-up.

Presenting the perfect addition to our X5M, XM intake system to optimise the flow path all the way to the turbos. Our carbon inlets have a larger volume than the stock inlets by maintaining a larger diameter all the way to the turbos. The stock inlets narrow down immediately after the connection to the intake which creates a restriction especially at higher boost levels. We have alleviated this restriction and also designed the curvature to be as smooth as possible allowing the turbos to function with reduced resistance. Made from prepreg carbon fiber with CNC machined flanges, the inlets also provide an aesthetic improvement to the engine bay.

Benefits of the inlets are apparent with tuned vehicles where the boost pressure is higher and therefore the flow demand form the turbos is greater. This is where the larger inlet volume of the inlets help provide that extra flow.

The Eventuri X5M inlets are manufactured from high temperature prepreg carbon fiber and come assembled with a number of other components engineered to perform a specific purpose and fabricated to the highest of standards.

Each inlet inlet set consists of:

• Prepreg Carbon Inlet Pair
• CNC Machined Turbo Flanges
• CNC Machined Breather Valve Assembly

COMPARISONS

The performance gains are produced from providing the turbos with a less resistive flow path which allows them to reach peak boost sooner in the RPM range. When comparing to the stock inlets the differences are clear to see. Where the stock tubes narrow down immediately after the connection to the intakes, our tubes maintain a larger diameter and the reduction to the stock turbos is achieved with an internal radius on the machined flanges. This allows for larger volume whilst maintaining a smooth flow path. One of the drawbacks of the oversized inlets was the more aggressive reduction in size to match the stock turbos which created some flow constraints.

LCI AND PRE-LCI INLETS
There are different inlets for the LCI and the Pre-LCI vehicles. We have made 2 specific sets which have different curvatures and an additional sensor boss on the LCI Version.

Thanks for the quick shipping Ben.

Got my set last week and installed it over the weekend. Simple DIY and these fit just like OEM.

If you have trouble removing the oem inlets just spray a little WD40 or PB blaster at the seam. If you are still having issues pulling it off then chances are the locking ring isn't pulled out enough. I used a long screw drivers to pull it up and keep it from closing back.

Also make sure you transfer the orange gasket from the stock inlets over to the new one before installing.

Do not over tighten the hose clamps and risk damaging the carbon. snug is good enough.

Before anyone asks there isn't any sound change with the inlets. If there is its very minor imo.

I noticed there aren't HP numbers for this $2k+ intake system. What would those power numbers be?

Looking good.
Mine came on Friday and I wasn't about to work on it since we've been getting hit by 100+ºF.

On these newer cars since 2014-ish, intake and exhaust by itself will not give you hp gain except nice looks and sound.
But, when you combined it with a tune, as simple as piggyback tune, it does compliments the tune.

Here is what Eventuri advertises for the intake system itself.

Nothing on the X5M inlets but if you look at the M5 with the same engine this is the gain they got. Not the best bang for the buck (inlets) but for some any improvement is worth it. You will get more gains the more the boost is turned up.
