I had the dealer do mine, they sent them to their authorised repair shop and had them painted

there's no OEM black badging for the 45e unless you contact Ryan IND-Distribution where they'll paint OEM ones. they did matte black for me upon request

I can vouch for IND paint quality. Not in the realm of badges though

But a recent spoiler that I had PPF removed and reinstalled. A poor : improper paint job easily could have lifted clear/paint with this type of procedure. The IND painted item was fine on the removal.

I recently bought IND black badge. It was nicely done and packaged, albeit the pricing was on the high side.

Here is a before and after picture. I wished the price could be a bit more competitive, but I understand the required effort put in by the painter, as the quality was superb.

Ha, yeah I thought about it but I think I'll remove the chrome and only put the X5 black badge on.
