Maybe not too much?

For my 2 cents, maybe not too expensive if it is fully integrated and sounds nice. I spent almost that much retro fitting an M5 exhaust to my previous F10 550i to get that factory hi performance sound. Lesson learned for me was to look for an OEM solution when possible.

Wonder how different this is to the M sport exhaust for the 40i?

I had BMW installed the M Performance Exhaust on our M2 with the CF tips and that was $5K CAD.The M2 has a Bluetooth device to open the flaps. With the flaps open in sports mode the sound is absolutely exhilarating! It would be nice if they incorporate a Bluetooth feature to control it for the G05.

Found this link:

https://translate.google.com.au/tran...80&prev=search

“ M Performance Sports Exhaust Kit for retrofitting the BMW X5 G05 40i / iX. Included: M Performance silencer, connecting pipe (x-pipe), front connecting pipe (front-pipe), spacer. The silencer is supplied without nozzles.”

I wonder how loud it is - doesn’t appear to have the bluetooth feature that the M2 has.

Anyone know what "nozzles" are referring to?

EU particulate regulations mean most of this stuff is curtailed anyway - no pops and bangs. So probably not worth the cost here at least.

Since when were exhausts only about pops and bangs? And in any case, those are largely controlled by your ECU - not the exhaust.

I'm more interested to find out what it actually sounds like and whether it is valved.

Very interesting, the question is can we get this in the US. I like that it is an actual M Performance exhaust, not just an M Sport which usually refers to one that is an option at time of build rather than an accessory done after the fact.

I think they mean exhaust tips, which makes sense since ours are already integrated into the rear bumper

wow dude, kind of aggressive response there! You may not care about it, but for those of us in Europe, I think it important feedback that you might spend thousands and not get something that gives the same performance as the rest of the world.

Sorry - just tired of people equating great exhausts with pops and bangs.

These exhausts hardly ever add performance gains. It's purely audio aesthetic. If you want increased performance then look at changing the downpipe.

I think the word "great" is very open to personal interpretation. It's also not all about performance... Otherwise we would all be buying inh hellacats instead of x5s.

So.. is this going to be an option or a part that service center sells separately in the US? Sorry if I didn’t fully understand.

Check out the vendors forum. One of them has posted it for sale.

I sent the link to my dealer who responded: "I looked at the availability of this part number. There's a few in Germany. I also looked to see if it showed fitment for the X5, but was unable to find any definitive answer."

See it here: https://www.getbmwparts.com/oem-part...20-18302458780

Not an inexpensive upgrade - wonder what if any additional HP is part of this?
