I debadge M/AMG/RS logos along with the main ones when they indicate a high performance variant (eg. E63) but leave the normal ones alone. Main reason is b/c I prefer stealth and don't want to deal with stoplight racers. Secondary reason is that these brands are expensive enough and don't want to brag about spending even more.
There is a special place in hell for those who add M/AMG/RS badging to base models. |

As I posted earlier, I’m a de-badger. I was about to de-badge the wife’s car when I got caught, reprimanded and de-badging tools confiscated.

I was using my heat gun on its low setting and dental floss, works great. Then I use either goo gone or kerosene to remove any glue residue followed by a light polish. You would never know there was ever a badge to begin with.

I thought about changing the roundels too, but decided to keep it as the blue adds just a little pop of color. It matches the theme of my car of white, with black shadowline trim all around, but with little blue accents like the brake calipers, headlight inserts for the laser lights, and the blue in the roundels. Luckily, the 2021 carpool stickers in CA are blue as well so they'll blend in a bit more than previous year colors.

Just removed all badging on both sides of the rear end of my Msport with shadowline.
IMO it looks cleaner. Actually was in for something else and the dealer removed them for me at n/c. |

I did the same thing, it gives it a nice balanced look. Did it with most of my cars. I keep the badges and still have them from a 1980 320i

Personally I like the badges. I seen some de-badged cars and I thought it was lacking..
You might want to do what I did and get the ultimate badge I got an upgrade, added HP and it flaps in the wind!!! |

I'm not a big fan of badges, but I'm generally too lazy to de-badge. If you're going to do it, I'd go with option #2.
But I do remember the first time I noticed de-badging was a trend. I was at Ramstein AB in the late 80s. It seemed that a large percentage of the local German owned BMWs were de-badged (US military typically bought US spec cars so they could ship them home at the end of their tour. This was after they stopped gray market imports.) At the time, most of the cars were 3 and 5 series. 6 and 7 series were less common. When I got a chance, I asked one of the locals why they didn't have badges on their cars. He replied (in a thick German accent), "Ve vish to be discreet." Gerry
