Hi,

I picked a new custom built x5 on 21st of dec (prod date 10/10/2020) with software updated to 11/2020.45. + remote services bought and enabled. I do have all the necessary options as I picked all of the available ones so that the car would resemble my 7 series...

However, I can’t get 3D remote view work. I tried to completely reset the car and update apps and enabling all privacy settings, but nothing works. There is no setting to enable 3D remote view in the individual privacy settings and the both mybmw and old bmw connected apps do not show 3D review option.

My previous car (bmw g12) that I brought from Germany to Finland had this feature working and I’m 100% sure the feature worked in Finland when I sold it in November (I also saw some guys saying when they travelled to Austria, the app said the option was not available, but there still was a button).

Any thoughts? I’d understand if it was just blocked in Finland and pressing the button would just say the feature is not available in this country (same as the traffic lights recognition). But in my case it’s just missing...

It's missing on my app, too. I guess it's just another function not available to us in Finland.

Have you tried the new My BMW app or are you still using Connected APP.
They changed this in the Uk last year. Hope you can get it working.

But I used that on my 7 series with id6 just back in November. Wtf?!

You said you brought your previous car from Germany, so maybe that's why it worked.

Indeed, contacted bmw genius and they confirmed that this feature is not available due to Finnish legislation.

I was in same place; neither I nor the dealership genius could get it to work on delivery. Last week it was in for its new batteries and they did a full software restore and now works fine

Mine only works for a max of 3 times per every 2 hours. Is this correct? In Canada.
