I just looked at it. Looks good in my opinion. Not sure what they're waiting for to release the X5 LCI. X1 looks good IMO.

My x5 was similar in some respects but definitely upgraded vs the new 330 I had as a loaner recently. But I agree the gap should be wider.

Indeed. Zoom in and see the X7 label on the right side of the new wood trim ambient graphics.

Yes. x5/x6/x7 will look the same given the current models are same as well.

The 40i and 50e will have an HP increase but the M60i should be similar to the M50i. No information is out there regarding weight but would imagine it will be similar.

Permission to ask additional stupid questions:
- Exhaust: I assume that they will be different in the 'base' X5 vs the M60i (and from this one possibly vs the X5M). Would BMW entertain a request to building a 'base' X5 with the M60i exhaust, if it is different?
- E-cars vs gas: my understanding is that there is a law whereby all new vehicles in the US will need to have an EPA MPG rating above XX within the next 3-4 years, and many/most/all of the X5s currently are below such benchmark. Won't new cars purchased just before such year/benchmark drastically devalue?
(yes, I am a lifetime BMW owner and have always had BMWs for the thrill and personal satisfaction, but I also am very careful with my $80k a pop...)

Not stupid at all.

1. No, they won't put the M Sport exhaust on the 40i.

2. It is fleet average not individual vehicles.

That small 48 Volt that controls start and stop, aids a tiny bit with acceleration.

It's cool because I guess stop and start is very very smooth
