this is nuts but I love it!
instead of dry carbon it would be nice to see same "wood" trim on the steering wheel (I know its tough) post pics when installed!

I do like the interior color. The forged carbon is a neat touch.

That's what I'm trying to achieve. Use the same trim on the wheel. Im talking to the guy now. If i decide to get this wheel made, im looking at possibly end of February or beginning of March before i see it.

I had custom steering wheels made to my last 2 cars and it's one of the best mods to the interior!

Looks awesome ... i've ordered mine, can't wait to get it installed. I think Dale at Autoworks will get jealous of my MBB X5MC when he installs it for me along with the MSS springs

would like to know as well and if the wheel remains heated as well as any issues with driver assistance tech?

It was $3k plus shipping, which i must say i did think twice about, but i rationalised that there are so few things that i think can be improved with the stock X5MC (and this is the only interior mod other than some rubber mats, which were very cheap!), that i thought why not. i only paid the bill last Thursday so the wheel has gone into production now, Emil says it will take 8-9 days to arrive, so I'll post a pic when i can. I've never replaced a steering wheel before, but at this £100k+ price point it's worth it given it's what you look at and feel with every drive. I already love the drama of pressing that red starter button (with the front windows open to get the sound, naturally!), so i think the sportier wheel will add to the experience ... plus it just feels wrong that i have the same wheel as my wife's X5 40i, surely the X5M should look sportier (M1/2 buttons aside).

Further to what 155ND said.
I was put onto Emil by Noushy and followed what he had done with a minor change. The wheel is custom made to your requirements you can have it heated and you can also have the driver assistance sensor installed. I think 155ND and Noushy wheel is heated, i didn't need it where i live. The wheel is top quality and a lot better than other carbon steering wheels being sold that have hard edges in the grip and thick stitching. Emil at Carbon Royale can be contacted on the following email address. emil.ionescu@icloud.com |

just a quick update on this ...
the steering wheel has been finished, the photos below are from Emil. Delivery is scheduled for Monday 4th January, and I'm excited to see the real thing as this is the first time I've had a custom steering wheel!

Mrs 155ND is highly bemused that the stock steering wheel isn't good enough for me! Joking aside, for me the X5MC is effectively a sports car, but in an SUV wrapper, so the wheel should be sportier than the wheel on the non-M X5 models.
i'm hoping the wheel will transform the cabin and make the "event" of driving the car a bit more special.
