the wheel arrived today, bubble-wrapped, covered in foam, lovingly wrapped ... felt like Christmas Day all over again!!

quality is top-notch, just now need to "merge" my existing wheel and have it fitted.

i was caught by a colleague today "phantom driving" at my desk .... though i wasn't making car noises, at least!

Do you end up loosing the light indicators, or wheel sensors for assisted driving? I'd really like to order one but really like the assisted driving stuff and heated wheel.

Emil tells me that all the functionality will still be in place once the new wheel is fitted, including the tech aspects and the heating.

i don't think QF8 has heating in his as he's an aussie, but hopefully he or noushy can confirm the sensors etc work fine on the new wheel?

i must say i think it really transforms the feel of the cabin, so i'm very happy so far ... fitting is booked for 1st Feb.

Yes.. All the functions and lights work. The lights on the steering wheel are part of the switch assembly. If you ordered heating you will get heating. The driver assist sensor is installed under the leather if you asked for it.

Emil will usually ask you to send a picture of your current steering wheel so he makes sure all the options are covered.

Thank you, I wanted to make it unique and it looked good.
The vehicle is gone for about 9 months now, that's why I'm spending time on f95 forum eyeballing

it's black ... i'm pretty conservative with my internal colour taste, partly because i have boys aged 10 and 12 with football practice and friends who are less than respectful of my interior!

as QF8 told me ... Emil's an easy guy to work with ... attention to detail, clear comms, responsive, and of course the final product is top quality. price ($3000) was initially a blow, but i rationalized that UK pounds equivalent of £2,200 would be a figure I would accept from BMW UK for a "luxury" steering wheel, so i went with it.

wheel just needs to be fitted now to get a 10/10 from me!

Can't wait for mine. Ordered two weeks ago and mine is very similar to yours. Instead of leather, I opted for Alcantara sides with heating and lane keep warning.

LOVE that interior CF ... i can't remember if it was a UK option, if it was i made a mistake not ordering it! do you know if it's an after-market option, i'm not sure i've seen it at IND or similar?

post up your fitted wheel when you can ... mine's being fitted 1st Feb as i have no practical skills at all (being a tax accountant, i'm strictly a desk guy)
