I’m not 100% sure I believe so. Don’t quote me on that though, I’m trying to get more info from him now! He told me to call my local dealer where my car is being held and find out more because he’s out of state from me.

Mine still shows the Stop here https://www.bmw.at/de/footer/quick-l...-aktionen.html but not on the BMW USA recall site.

Mine's clean according to his Austrian site you shared LDT

Production date: Feb. 29, 2024. I'd be guessing the issue is software-related and mine already has some updated version, which will be distributed to the affected vehicles

This is great news!! Was it the software issue? I’ll call my dealer tomorrow, fingers crossed they’ll let me pick up. Congrats on taking delivery btw! Enjoy the new ride

Just texted my CA and asked when the car would be ready for pickup since there is now a solution to the recall. He said “definitely by the end of the month” which is aggravating since it’s just a quick software fix I can’t imagine it taking up to 1.5 weeks! Was really hoping to pickup today or this weekend but we’ll see…

Call the sales manager, they want to move the car as quickly as possible.

The dealership I’m working with I have a family connection to, the sales manager especially. He put me with one of his CA’s and they’ve been working together on my deal. So I’m pretty sure he’s aware of everything already. All my CA said was that they need to “follow guidelines to handle the recall” first and that he’s waiting to hear back from the tech team.

My BMW sales manager friend just texted me “Recall software update should be avail.
We just performed the fix on our cars that had the recall.”

Do we need to bring the vehicle into the service center or can they update the software remotely OTA? Hopefully it is not doing any harm driving the vehicle until then.

Most likely BMW NA will send out a recall notice for vehicles that are already in service. I suppose it’s also possible that a OTA software fix could materialize.
Let’s ask TurtleBoy for his take on it.

My guess is that they will send out a notice to those that are effected by it. The software that contains the fix will eventually be an OTA but that may not be until Summer as part of the regular schedule.
