Hi,

I just use regular long this screws with length 3 -4 inches to make sure that it will attached to your car body. My front lip came in one part already it means that the middle part you talking about is already attached with screws. Do not use glue . I use both 3 m tape and screws.

Quick question about installing the front lip...here's a photo of how my X6 front bumper looks like from the bottom. Do I unscrew the existing screws, tape fit the lip and screw them back in through the same holes? Or is there a less elegant solution in play...

Of course I'm still waiting for some X6 lips to actually show up in stores

Looks very nice, this lip design seems to be the go to choice for most X5s. Where did you get it? How much? EDIT: found it on the previous page I also see you put the M mirror caps on...carbon fiber? Where from?

The lip comes with 4 points to screw in the self tapping screws at but they are exactly where the rubber grommets are so you can't really drill the screw in unless you drill a hole into the grommets and all of that so I basically just drilled a hole next to the points and screwed the lip in. Also added 1 long screw in the middle of the lip and all holds perfectly tight. Yes, I love the look and how well it sits and moulds to the bumper.
