I had the DinanTronics Stage 1 on my F85 X5M and have been eagerly waiting for Dinan to release their Stage 1 for the F95 X5M. I then learned that Steve Dinan sold Dinan and started a new company CarBahn Autoworks. jokerswld34 informed me that CarBahn recently released their Stage 1 tune for the F95 so I just had it installed by my BMW dealer. CarBahn advertises increases to 774 flywheel HP and 726 lb/ft flywheel torque. They don't have dyno numbers yet to account for loss to the wheels. The tune also removes the top speed governor. CarBahn offers a matching warranty which I bought.

I attached pics of the Sport Displays indicating the increased HP and Torque (before and after tune). Presumably these numbers are at the wheels.

EDIT: (6/17/21) The Stage 1 product and ordering information is now on CarBahn's website, along with Dyno charts. They claim 783 flywheel HP and 754 lb/ft flywheel torque.

Steve Dinan and the team at CarBahn have been hard at work developing new software and hardware for different platforms, most recently flash software for the 2020 X5M / X6M base and competition platforms, pushing these already potent machines to 783 horsepower and 754 lb-ft of torque (to the flywheel) compared to the stock 567 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque.

Congrats!! Did you get a chance to give it a rip yet? What are your impressions? Any change in exhaust note? If so, can we get some vids? I know, i know.. we're asking for quite a bit, do it for the team!

Princeton BMW is an authorized CarBahn installer, although they had to remove the DME and ship it to CarBahn in California for reprogramming.

It was a short drive home, all highway driving in Comfort mode, so I didn't take notice if the exhaust note is different. I'm happy with the factory exhaust so that wasn't a concern of mine. I did notice that the throttle response is much more responsive in Comfort mode. I'm hoping to test the tune with my Draggy soon.

Yours must be made before Jun 2020. I just had my local authorized dealer check and mine (2021 model) is still locked.

Correct, June 2020 production. I was told CarBahn can unlock the DME of cars produced after 6/20, but the DME has to be sent to them for reprogramming.

Thank you, my local dealer was told they don't have the mechanism to work on post 6/2020 cars. Time to find another dealer.

AwesomeM3, this is awesome. Ive always used dinan to tune my BMW's.

I think those are pretty impressive gains from a tune.

I'd really like to see a dyno numbers. Without those we are going off of programed numbers not actually rated numbers. BMW uses RPM and Throttle input to give you the dash view (it's all math). Looking forward to a dyno run!!!

according to CarBahn they can only offer this to vehicles with production date prior to Aug 1, 2020
