I went the amazon route. Couldn't justify the cost of the OEM, plus I wanted glossy black. Cost was under $300 Canadian with new screws and tape. Fitment was meh, had to play with it. Slightly recessed to get it to be flush, but extremely happy with overall quality and finished look.

I also have the 741M painted black. So, it completes the look for me.

Came out great! I’m replacing my Amazon special with one from RW Carbon. It bothers me that the fitment isn’t great with the current one so I spent the money and ordered one. Will post up pics once its delivered and installed.

The cheaper amazon ones are gloss black but I wish some of these higher end/better fitting ones would have the option for gloss black.

There's always Maxton for gloss black or painting the carbon fiber.

I just can't seem to make up my mind on the front splitter.

I went with the Maxton LCI V1 and have been very pleased with the quality and installation.

Thanks, I'm still considering Maxton, probably V2 but V1 is also nice.

I have completely ruled out the OEM knock offs from Amazon due to fitment.

My only concern with Maxton is the following area. Just wish they made it tighter to the body lines like OEM, but I'm sure it looks amazing in person.

I have for sale a OEM BMW M Performance front splitter painted gloss black (NEVER INSTALLED) and it comes with everything you need for install including the mounting guide/bracket. Picture below of everything included and when we test fitted the splitter.

Wife decided she didn't like the look in person (i disagreed strongly). But hey happy wife, happy life lol.

I wanna do the front lip but I don't wanna sacrifice the ground clearance, after all the X5 is an SUV. How do you like justify this drawback, or is it not a big deal?

Its not a big deal. I was afraid it would drop the front end to the point where I could possibly damage the lip parking but the front end is high so this actually balances out the front end when looking at the vehicle from the side.
