I get that. We always like to try new things and especially if you put a lot of effort into it. At least the 40i is a little different from the 19 you had with more HP and interior bits (curved screen).

Changed my mind from 50e to 40i on Tuesday. Dealer gave me an production # they already had, modified it for my build, and submitted the order. Today, two days later, the order code changed to 150. Not sure what the order code was prior to today, because I just learned how to F12 it. All I noticed today was that in my garage, it changed from 'scheduled for production', to production begins!!

Thats what happened to us. It was a modified build and less than 2 days later it was 150. Nice when you don't have to wait.

The timing really doesn't make sense given your order, when it would have been built and the shipping. If you ordered on Feb 28th it would not be possible for it to be built in early March. Really the only way would have been if a previous order had the same specs and you got that. As far as I know, no 50e allocations were given out, especially at that time. I guess it really doesn't matter as long as you get what you want.

It’s weird! I ordered pretty much all the options that day lol. It changed to dispatched an hour ago, let’s see if I can get it this weekend or not!

🤷 We're a '24 convert to' 25 order on the 50e, but added twist of individual color... So no idea when it might get built (beyond guess from TurtleBoy around June)... But I still have no build number....dealer seems to indicate they won't give it to me until they have build date

They didn't change production numbers so your original one is your new one. You should have seen the change to the MY on MyGarage.

Correct, sounds like you never had an order. They just put you in the order bank and are still waiting for an allocation.

I have a VIN number and a production date of April 21st for my 50e! Ordered in December, delayed 3 times, and it will now be a MY '25 at no increase in price. I have searched without success for a "tips and tricks" thread that contains advice about charging, drive mode settings, break in suggestions (eg how often to use the ICE at first), DAP settings, etc. Are there any threads that I should check out? The 50e replaces our 2015 X5 35d, which has been bullet proof. Fingers crossed that we don't have the same issues with the 50e that so many members of this forum are reporting....

We returned our 2022 45e back in February with the intention to order a 2024 50e when allocations moved to MY25 for which I put a deposit down on. Has anyone seen any Canadian programs for MY25 for the x5 50e? My SA said he still hasn’t seen anything as of yesterday but I also did found the MY25 details for the x5 here before getting it from him so thought I’d ask the forum

My 24 had similar problems to others documented here on Bimmerpost. It subsequently got hit while parked, and was totaled. My dealer was able to get a week 22 allocation for an identical build.

Someone mentioned that their dealer had an allocation but it wasn't clear if it was newly issued or one that rolled from MY24. The previous month less than a handful of 50e allocations were issued. Hopefully things become more available with next month's.
