I’m looking for opinions on powder coating my wheels. I have a 2025 50e I. Tanzanite Blue with the M Sport Pro and am getting the front windows tinted at 20%. I’ve also already removed the chrome badges and replaced them with gloss black. I have the 20” 740m wheels and I’m trying to decide whether to get them powder coated matte black or gloss black. On one hand the grill is matte black and it might look good to add another matte black item; on the other hand all the rest of the black is gloss and gloss black wheels might match everything else better. Any opinions would be great. Thanks!

I vote gloss black. Matte wheels when clean look great but I personally don’t like that finish for wheels.

matte black wheels “hide” brake dust longer, “better”

that said, I wouldn’t do black, especially gloss black. it was appealing a decade ago, but IMO it’s overdone and bland against TB. I like TB with lighter-colored wheels, not the typical aluminum shade (see photo care of dubsesd)

my X5 is matte Arctic Grey with satin black wheels now (see My Garage), but I’m over that color and have been seriously contemplating satin/patina bronze (sample below). with brake dust, it takes on a “weathered” look… or one could argue it’s just dirty LOL

I could agree, blacked out might be over done. I live in the rural Midwest, however, so a decade behind is the height of style. Bronze looks great, but it’s just not me.
