Talking Picking up a brand new X5 45e M Sport Shadow

Hello fellow X5 fans!

Last weekend, we traded in the old (E70) X5 xDrive30d for a brand new G05 X5 xDrive 45e. I absolutely love this spec. It's got most of the bells and whistles.

I've driven it for a few minutes and was pretty impressed. I'll make a real first drive video very soon!

Looks very good, I think AG pairs very well with the high gloss black trims.
Looking forward to the followup review
I'm sure you'll appreciate the quietness compared to the 30d

I got almost the same setup. Artic Grau, M sport pack, black grill and other elements, black 22" rims, Merino Coffee leather and fineline stripe brown trim.
But I will certainly remove the badges on the back.

Can't wait ...

Looks great , my spec about to complete is an AG m-sport with extended shadowline and it's nice to see how it looks when it's moving. Very cool - enjoy!

Nice! Congrats on your order.
My father prefers no badges as well, but the salesman of the dealership told him it is for safety purposes. In case the car burns down, firemen will know it is a hybrid. I think that's bullshit, but who am I to judge. They're not hard to remove, so that'll happen one day or another I guess.

This is a law in Germany and that is why BMW doen’t offer to factory remove the badges on EV. But surely the dealer could have removed them for your father...

I hope that firemen are more competent than just looking at a badge to determine a car is electrical. And every fireman must know what 45e means. They follow protocols. You could also argue they can see the charging flap to determine it's electrical

There are other electrical vehicles without such badges.
So, that's first class bullshit!

That's what they told us as well. The dealer offered to remove the badges, but my father didn't really mind about it.
