Silly question but first timer...

How do I get those numbers?

Production number or VIN??

Masterplan,
Call your Sales Rep or the Sales Manager at the dealership where you made your purchase order.

Still no Corona stock problems ahead?

Are there capacity problems? My production date in January was moved to April suddenly. Dealer only told me only that there are capacity problems. Ordered begin July.

My car left factory on 4th of February and we don't have any possibilities to track him. Even my dealer in Croatia is blind....unbelievable....
Is it possible to check on BMW USA if I provide VIN to somebody from states?

I don't think so, someone tried for me (I tried setting up a US my garage account too) but neither worked. Also tried calling BMW NA and they couldn't give me any info, they told me I had to contact BMW Canada so likely it's the same for your country.

BMW Canada says once dispatched from the factory, they've no clue how long it takes to get to me. "Contact your dealer", who I'm assuming knows rough timelines but has been a bit vague, I'm hoping he's under promising and will over deliver.

It's in french but you have a possibility to track the sea shipment if you have your VIN : https://www.ma-bmw.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=29534

I have recently placed on order for a 40i and as of 24th Feb, it entered production. Although the my BMW website shows the same status today, BMW genius told me (a couple of times) that production will be completed on Mar 6th. There are no delays yet in my case... Fingers crossed!

Just a quick update. The information provided by the rep. at BMW Genius seems to be accurate.

March 2nd: "Production Begins" status was stuck here for like two weeks.
March 3rd: "Entering Assembly Line"
March 4th: "Quality Check"

I think it's likely that I will be picking her up sometime this month.

My timelines are similar to yours. My car is just two days behind. Talking to BMW Genius I didn't get a sense that there are delays right now.

Yeah, seems to be no delays now in the South Carolina plant. Today’s status has changed to “Awaiting Carrier Assignment.”

Mine left the plant today! So all cars with a similar order date of early Jan should have a similar status !

I think I have the same pattern as above. The vehicle status is now showing "Entering Assembly Line" today which is a day before the estimated completion date (Mar 6th in my case). Going by the above timelines, it should move to "Quality Check" tomorrow and "Awaiting Carrier Assignment" on Mar 7th. If this happens, it can appear as the statuses are hard-coded.

To be honest, I think the promise you got to have a 3 month delivery time originally was very optimistic or simply a lie from your dealer. Never heard of someone to get his/her X5 45e that fast... Order in March, delivery in October sounds about the normal delivery time of this model

5 months is the common wait time to build your car, for EU you also need to add around 7 weeks to delivery. I think your dealer looked at the wrong column.

My X5 M50i has been scheduled for production since mid-January with zero movement. Spoke to the online genius and they're saying mid March start and May delivery to UK.

Past experience with my M4s tells me this is going to be June. My current M4 got delayed because of the 2018 sandstorms and that added several weeks.

Can we in Europe talk to such an online genius?
