How are these guys getting so much off the X5 and I can't even get my local dealer to budge a $1??
Buy at a dealer who will negotiate? I'm buying our of state for this exactly reason since you can have the car delivered to your local dealer if you have a good relationship with them.

Ditto - same boat here.

I checked in with Jamie at Peabody (sent him the link you shared) and he basically said - let's see what comes in Dec. This implies we could stack that benefit onto the $1K loyalty - or in lieu of it.

Coming from an X3 M40i and this is a completely different animal. X3 was a little too narrow for our family since we regularly have 3 kids in the back seat. The X3 was a riot to drive though!
That's a very good deal. I'm also in SoCal and I haven't seen anything close to that from any dealer in SoCal.

Guys - I've been working with Max Manes at Passport BMW. He's currently offering 6% off plus whatever incentives are out there. Feel free to reach out to him directly @ max.manes@passportauto.com.

Yeah he's the one I've been referring people to. So far he's been doing s great job! Don't be shy if you're out of state (they're in Maryland) because delivery can be arranged at your local dealer if needed.

First time buyer in Houston. Getting really frustrated with the dealers here. A few are close to 6%, but their games are annoying.

Negotiating over email. I've asked for their best price BEFORE incentives and several have sent over a worksheet that includes them. Some are also stating that the APR credit is not lockable and other say it is.

These dealers are why i have a hard time buying into this "relationship" non-sense. They are a commodity. I don't have relationships with people that are manipulative and purposely deceptive with me.

If anyone in the SE Texas area has a CA or dealer that shoots straight, please PM me.

Everyone but me probably already knew this: if you are LEASING you do not qualify for the APR credit. It’s just loyalty for the lease crowd.

I’m also dealing with Passport BMW and Max Manes. They have been 100% transparent and a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended!

It is definitely heavier and bigger. The difference between the M Sport and M40i is significant. Even in Sport Plus the suspension is softer then the M40i static.

I do believe it is a much better balance for a family car though. IMO the M40i was pretty harsh for daily use, especially if your SO will be driving it. Have not pushed the X5 hard yet so my opinion is still forming. More to come.

Let me know if Scott takes care of you. Like I said in PM, he stated the deal was unique to me since I have bought so many cars from him, but you know how that goes...

Interesting, I wonder if the 50i with DHP I ordered will be any different. I drive my M40i how it's intended, hard/fast and usually in sport+ when conditions are suitable.

Did you have the M suspension in your M40i? I do and yes it's very firm in sport to the tune of having half of my speakers start rattling. Those have been replaced but I'm sure it'll happen again.

I'm looking at a week 51 build so I might have jt before next year if I'm lucky. Keep us updated!

I agree. I just spoke with him and he immediately offered 6% off MSRP plus $1K incentive for lease loyalty. Because I have a year left on my current lease, he's advised me to wait until Dec 4th to see if there are any payment forgiveness (3 months) incentives...

I had the static suspension (non adjustable) with the 21's

I see, the M Suspension which gets a little softer (I think) in comfort mode compared to steel springs only. In sport mode you feel everything.

Took it for a quick spin solo this evening. Don't expect the same driving experience as the X3. In full Sport mode there is plenty of power, but little to zero steering feel and absolutely no sound from the motor. I think if you want a similar experience you will have to wait for the X5 M50i release. This is still the right car for my wife, but the X3 is way more fun to drive. Will be interested to see what the M50i drives like...

Which one do you have, 40i? I have a feeling the 50i with DHP which is what I'm getting will give a similar feel as my X3 M40i but less harsh. I see no reason why the 4.4L TT V8 would move the X5 a bit quicker despite having the same 0-60 times. When you add in the DHP which has anti roll bars which are electronically controlled I think it'll handle the same if not a tiny bit better. We shall see in the next month.

I saw the December incentive is only $1000 for lease or finance as a loyalty I. e. not more $2000 credit

edit it's $1000 not $1500, that's for the X3

Where do you see the loyalty for the 2019 X5? I see $1500 and up for 2018's, but didn't see anything for the 19's.

How do you know this? It's not been publicly released yet.
