Dinan spring orientation?
Anybody know the spring orientation for the front Dinan springs? Is the printed text supposed to be upright or upside down?

Could you explain the photo below? Are these the alignment specs that I should request when I get my alignment?

Those are indeed the specs you would want on alignment with the Dinan springs for the M235i. That sheet should have come with the set if they were purchased new so I assume this was a used set? Regardless, that same sheet can be found on our website by going to "Technical Docs" along the top navigation and then delving into the appropriate alignment specs section.

So my front camber is going to be 1.07 degrees give or take 0.42 degrees? Am I interpreting this correctly? Because that seems like quite a range of camber. Genuinely curious.

On alignment the shop should be targeting -1.07 degrees of camber as that would be the perfect center of acceptable limits. +/- .42 of that number would also fall in to that accepted "green" zone on the alignment rack. The vast majority of Dinan alignments have a variable range of +/-.4 to .5 of camber leeway. In incredibly general terms on a road going car you want to maintain a degree or 2 of negative camber to improve road handling.

With McPherson struts the act of lowering the car changes the camber of the car. The more you lower it the more negative camber is achieved. The variability +/-'s are just the production tolerances specced out from BMW itself.
