Much more leather than the F97 X3MC that we had. A bit more leather than the F90 M5 that we had.

Wet day, but very impressed so far.

So you feel the ride isn’t that bad? I’m considering ordering one but that was a concern due to reviews.

Only thing not OEM is the 818 wheels and 295 21” tires front and back. The ride over bridge expansion joints and railroad tracks is great. Much more plush than the X3MC. Closer to the M5 than X3MC in ride quality.

More powerful and handles much better than the F85 X5M.

Not quite as nimble as the X3MC, but much more refined.

I agree on the ride. I was concerned with the new 21 & 22 inch wheel combo but it’s a better ride than my F86 and any of my previous Xs. It’s not rough at all. Transmission shifts smooth and she just goes. Congrats and Enjoy!

I was also concerned about the ride being too harsh-until I drove one.

To me the ride is firm (as it should be), but I dont consider it harsh. I do mostly suburban and highway driving, which may help. If I lived in a city with poor roads I might feel differently.

I live in a city with poor roads. My commute is city highway. Road seams and imperfections could be jarring in my previous generations. They are now almost non existent. I did have to shut off the lane departure though as it was pulling me back as I try to dodge pot holes on the road.

Firm yes, harsh no. The X3MC I had before had a brittle/harsh ride, crashing over bumps, by far stiffer than any other M vehicle I’ve had. My X5M (non-comp) is very good, but I wouldn’t want it any stiffer.

I am surprised about al the hype on the rough ride - it's very compliant and solid as daily driver. It is not soft and floaty, so the key is setting those expectations, if you want a super plush ride vs. sporty.

Congratulations. The ride is definitely firm, but not uncomfortable with 21/22 combo. Why did you switch to all 21's?

She had PS4S on her X3MC and loved them in the winter. One and done.

Outside poke , front to back is factory due to the offset.

Did you buy the 818's after? You can only get with X6M I thought. Were you able to work a swap?

So the 21" wheels you have on the rear are the same as the fronts?

Shoot. I may want to do this and run 295/35/21 all the way around as it will open up way more tire choices!

The take offs are for sale here. https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1925164

The dealer bought four 818M’ wheels in 10.5 X 21 and four 295 21 Michelins, works great.

Are the offsets the same on the 818m wheels?

ET31?

Want to confirm as I have the stock 809 wheels, and i'll just order an additional 2 front wheels to put on the rear to have a square 295/35/21 setup!

Also appreciate if you ca post any other photos of the car specifically from the rear with the 21" wheels!

Many thanks!!

As noted, same offsets. The rear tires/wheels with the front wheels mounted in the rear are in the exact same location on the fender side as the 22” wheel. You lose 1/2” of inside depth that is hard to see. Outside to outside is the same.
