Bumping this back to the top of the list.

The instructions above looked like they're for the 5.0 version. Anyone have instructions for the 4.0 version?

Why replace strut brace bolts? Are these supposed to be replaced every time the engine air filter is replaced as they have to be removed?

I replaced mine on my 2017 540i (B58) and it was pretty straightforward.

Have to move some stuff out of the way but fairly easy. Replaced both at 100k on that car, purely preventatively. Both were still in great shape.

Belt and tensioner should be inspected and replaced if needed. There is no time or mileage interval for it. When they degrade, they give plenty of warming, like squeaking belt, marble rolling tensioner …

Why strict brace bolts needs to be replace?
