USAA is for active, retired, or family members of active/retired. If you have USAA you qualify.

Also, if you have penfed you are fine. You aren't cheating the system. You are eligible. Good luck, you have nothing to worry about.

How are you able to get 1.49%? I was only offered 1.99%
"Published rate includes a 0.50% discount given when you maintain electronic payments and Plus or Relationship benefits on your DCU checking account."

Just have a portion of your salary be deposited into your checking account.

Got it thank....they also promote this "0.25 % ADDITIONAL DISCOUNT FOR ENERGY EFFICIENT VEHICLES", do you know if it apply to 45e (is that what you are buying)?

I did not realize they had an additional 0.25% discount, the 45e should qualify, that's what I am buying.

0.25% rate discount for energy efficiency -Vehicle must have an EPA fuel economy rating of 35 MPG or 35 MPGe combined city/highway.

I already did the BMWFS credit app and expecting 1.9% with them, but now wondering if it might make sense to try to shift to using DCU to get the lower rate and $3250.

There's no relationship duration criteria like PenFed, right?

My X5 45e is supposed to finish production at the end of the week. I'm down to the wire.

Please keep us posted on how DCU worked out for you.

I also applied for their auto loan, but it seems like they won't cut me a check until I upload a purchase contract showing the exact purchase price, dealership, and car model.
As opposed to PenFed, where they sent me a check right away and I can just use it at any dealership to pay for any car (up to the pre-approved limit).

It seems pretty easy for any finance manager to get 1.9 1.79 even 1.49 depending on credit and length of loan. Maybe give them a chance to get it done for you. I didn't have to do a thing. In and out of the dealer in 10 minutes. They handled it all. Now my dealer doesn't markup at all, but I can see some hiking up the rate for 3rd party banks/credit unions.

But yes Penfed was my backup since I've worked with them before and it's pretty easy

Could you share which dealership? Looking to put in an M50i order soon and would love to score a similar deal in the DMV/PA/NJ/NY area. Thanks much!

FYI my local dealer is refusing the Penfed bonus cash offer, saying they don't participate. I don't think they are interpreting it properly, but I don't feel like fighting so I'm just going to try other dealers.

My '22 X5 M50i Order

Hi all. I am so ecstatic, so excuse me if I go a little overboard. I am putting my order in for a 22 X5 M50i. Loaded. Here is the build.

https://www.bmwusa.com/build-your-ow...up0fsc/summary

I am very excited. I am talking to a few dealers. One told me invoice plus tags and tax. Other contact is on vaca till the 23rd. I really didn't want to splurge for the M50i because I want the Gray ash wood with the B&W. Cant get them on the 40. But this is where I am. I have loyalty. Going to be a cash deal or 90% down and finance other 10%. Anyone get better pricing? Im in NY/NJ area. Want to order ASAP. Should have delivery by end of next month.

Nice build, congratulations, hopefully the wait won't be too long. Good luck, enjoy and be safe.

Don't forgo the spare. It is very inexpensive to get it when you build. The equivalent will cost $500 or so later down the line. If nothing else, you can always sell it.

Yea but they are run flats so whats the purpose of the spare? No use for it. If it was an extra wheel with extra tire, then I would have. But its a useless doughnut.

One thing I cant understand is why not offer black brake calipers? Now I have to get them powder coated black and salvage the "M" on it somehow. The blue is standard and isnt bad looking and red is a no cost option, but where is the black??!!

Not useless at all. If the sidewall is compromised the run is of no use. You will find plenty of stories on here where the run flat couldn’t be used. Also they have a 50 mile limit, the spare would add another 50.

Hi, to qualify with PENFED you just need to join PENFED opening a savings account and have the account open for more than 60 days?

Does the PenFed incentive applied to the sales price? Or its a rebate after tax calculation?
