Does anyone have any idea of the trunk space of the M60i vs M50i?

Speculation I have seen is that the 3 and Y will lose half the credit, so it will be left with $3750. However, we need the Treasury guidance and updated guidance from IRS to be sure.

I thought it’s coming out of BMW or the dealer, not IRS. Since IX is too expensive to qualify!

In my opinion, X5 looks alright i but the x6. I didnt really like the pre lci x6 but holy cow the lci looks so much better. It is a bit less in the face and the lights suit it better.

Previously, many two-row SUVs only qualified for the $50,000 sedan credit.

If you look at the IRS website, you’ll see that the X5 45e fully qualifies currently until March, and that vehicle has no 3rd row.
Thank you for this information. It’s surprising how many people seem to be completely oblivious to the now, apparently out-of-date requirement that SUVs needed to have 3 row seating to qualify for the $80k MSRP limit. I guess we’ll have to see what develops when the revised, revised guidance is announced in March.

So these will be 2024 models, correct?

I presume these will run for a few years before a new gen? So 2026 being the last year?

Actually they aren’t offering that. What they do have is regional lease credits and the amount varies with some areas getting zero. This won’t happen with the 50e.

It’s been a complete mess, and you can see how these government agencies are having difficulty interpreting the IRA.

I hope they delay the battery guidance indefinitely so that more people can benefit from the tax credit, although I know there are efforts to kill the credit until the battery guidance is issued.

Messy.

Perhaps out of date. I’m only now learning the guidance seems to have been temporarily changed while we await the updated guidance next month. This was significant news when it was announced a few months ago. Surprised you only appear to have learned of this now.

Audi doesn't have it on the steering wheel

It is what is happening. $7500 lease credit only exist because of section 45W providing $7500 credit to lessors.

It is not regional, available on all i4 35 and iX 50 across US.

BMW joined a long list of brands now offering $7500 credit on leasing PHEV and EVs. Including Merc, Audi, Porshce, Volvo, Polestar, etc.

In your opinion. BMW have ability to do it if they choose, due to section 45W.

It could have recently changed. As of the other week it was regional.

Could be because it definitely was not true. What you are misunderstanding is that originally the IRS was going to use the DOT’s definition of an SUV. There are multiple ways to qualify as an SUV and one of them was having a third row. Others were weight, height, various angles, etc. The recent change is that the IRS will now use the EPA definition which includes more vehicles.

Yeah, but it's still on the steering column within easy reach. Not buried in some menu on the screen. Big difference.

I can almost guarantee the X5M will retain it…
The uk configuration is showing the ultimate pack which includes m adaptive pro. Pro includes active steering and anti-roll. I would imagine the USA market it will be still available, although called something else.

It is cool how BMWs inside now all look identical. Kind of how Audis looked identical in mid 00s and 10s from the outside.

Bravo team BMW. Didnt expect it would be a copy paste between literally every new model you launch.
