Ordered late 2023 with a production allocation for December. Got caught in the delays, and the car was finally built yesterday.

I negotiated a reasonable discount, and in the months during the delay came across the military incentive. Should my dealer have any issue taking this discount off our already negotiated price since the additional incentive is from corporate? I already have the coupon printed in my name, but just anticipating any potential pushback.

No, you should be fine since it is a BMWFS incentive. I guess technically if they were counting on you financing with BMWFS and now you are going with outside financing to get the full incentive then they may not like it but doubt they will change the deal. Let us know how it goes.

It was always a cash deal - so hopefully it all works out! I'll update as soon as the deal closes.

How did that incentive work? My dealer included the 4k discount on my order 2 weeks ago but BMW's website states you have to take delivery by tomorrow (Feb 29th). I had another dealer tell me that BMW would be renewing that incentive.

I called the number on the coupon and they said I'll have to get a new code and coupon for deliveries after March 1st. They couldn't guarantee the incentive would be renewed, but indications were that it will be.

Time will tell - unless the car miraculously shows up on the lot tomorrow.

The certificate used to be good for a year but they changed it last year to monthly so they can change the amounts mid-year if needed. There will always be a Domestic Military incentive so you don't have to worry about it expiring and not coming back, you can print out a new one in case you think your dealer may give you a problem.

You could always close the deal b4 the car shows up. I’ve done it with a trusted dealer as a last day of the month favor. Car came in a week later. Granted this was 10 years ago at a MB dealership where I had bought multiple cars over the years. Today’s rules might not allow it. There must be a level of trust that if something goes wrong (car hauler crash) the deal can be undone. Works best on a cash deal.

BMWNA, and some state laws, prohibits dealers from doing that.
