Illuminated grill? So that's why BMW kept making the grills bigger and bigger. They've been making a 3rd headlight!

Don't like all of the chrome.
Don't like mixing bling w black. Don't like the wheels. Don't like the shape First we had the Clown Shoe ... now this Skechers Shoe. Much much much prefer my X5M and it's shape. To me - the last good shape of X. 🚆 Yuck.

The idea of the illuminated grills is terrible, so cheesy just like the Mercedes illuminated emblem

Can someone tell me where does this large grill, illuminated grill Chinese thing come from?
I haven't spend that much time in mainland China in the last few years, but used to be quite a bit, don't ever remember that being a thing if i didn't hear this Chinese theory I would have guessed it's Cali car culture influenced (illumination)... |

Customer: I have absolutely no taste or good sense however I do have $100k to spend on a fancy coupe - but I really also want an SUV. Obviously I know I can't have it all at the same time but...
BMW: Wait a sec. (Goes to trash can and rummages around) We have that. |

I personally don't have a problem with these, though I will chuckle to myself sometimes. It's their car, they can do what they want. I like a clean stock+ look, but to each their own. It makes things a bit more interesting. I've also seen some of those Mercedes with illuminated tri-star badges and they look absolutely terrible. I can't believe they are an OEM option as they are lit unevenly and are very very cheap looking. Seems like BMW is just following suit here. I will say the BMW method of backlighting the grille might look much better than simply lighting up the badge like in the MB. However, I really hope my wife doesn't option her future X5 like that (if that's even possible in the future). |

I won't touch on the fact that I still find this model useless. But do love that they seem to give quad exhaust just to hide it with some big ugly fake plastic chrome bumper inserts. Lol what a joke.

Well I think Audi in general have better and more timeless design of all automotive industry. Some models aren't as good but in general, they have distinctive and classy lines IMHO. Don't get me wrong, I have been a BMW fan for decades, but since Exx and some of Fxx models, I haven't seen much of good looking design from BMW.
