[X5 M50i '21]

I've noticed that my music from the native Sirius app stops playing when I get calls while CarPlay is active. I believe at other times as well. I'm guessing this is just a fact that I'm using BMW's native music app and the audio gets disrupted when CarPlay is on, but wish there was a work around. Anyone else notice or annoyed by this?

Every car will stop the music if you get a call. Im not sure I understand your question.

Every car I've ever had, whether it had car play or not, would stop the radio/sirius if I was getting a call.

The only way to prevent this is to go into your phone and turn bluetooth off.

Sorry, I meant to expand by saying that once the call ends, the music does not start again. I need to select a music source again. I use a preset so it's not that bad, but not sure why it happens.

Yea, I noticed that sometimes my sonds will continue after a call and sometimes they wont lol.

Sometimes my climate control rules will kick in, sometimes they wont.

Car does whatever it feels like doing.

Annoyed by it too. So I need to press Media twice and pick Sirius again. Or if I switch between Waze and the Radio, same Apple CarPlay sequence issue.

I installed the Sirius XM App and use XM from my app through CarPlay. I only use CarPlay for my entertainment UI.
