Latest OTA Update

Has anyone installed the latest 03/2023 OTA Update on a F95/F96?
I read on the this forum where the ASS isn't able to remember the off setting and upon restart, constantly activates the ASS.
Even on the M50i models.
I hope the 2020-2023 F95's aren't affected.

My 2020 F95 so far is fine. Haven't noticed any changes in anything frankly. I was an "early adopter" back in Feb. There have been a few patches to 03/2023 and I'm getting ready to load the .65 release soon. I may do it this weekend if I get time. The July release should be coming soon. I'm interested in seeing if there any perceptible changes in that release.

Thanks. I just realized that the car might lose the anti dazzle coding that I had redone again after the 11/2022 update removed it.

If you upgrade to 03/2023.xx you will not be able to disable Auto Start/Stop. It's a known issue and the car will always start with Auto Start/Stop activated. You will have to code or manually switch the driving mode to Sport Mode in order to disable ASS. There are several discussions on this issue in both the X5/X7/iDrive forums.

You may still be able to disable Auto Start/Stop if you have the Auto Start/Stop button and don't have the mild hybrid engine. Personally, I will not be updating from 07/2022.60 to 03/2023.xx as I freaking HATE ASS and there is no functional or feature updates in the 03/2023.xx update that effect my 2020 X7 that is worth the risk of losing the ability to automatically disable ASS.

I have an F95 running 03/2023 and it hasn’t affected ASS functionality, at least not on mine but that could be an “M” thing or competition.

I have a 2022 F95 and when I pulled out today after updating last night the ASS was on, I shut it off, and then I don't remember having to do it again for the rest of the day so I'm fairly sure it's remembering however it may have been hot enough that the A/C was keeping the car on.

I'll check tomorrow when I pull out

When the dealer does the update, what do they physically connect to? The OBD port or is there another port somewhere? I'm assuming they do not do it over the air at any dealership.

OBD. They use an ICOM Next, laptop and charger. That’s how I update mine as well. Tool looks like this.

Fwiw I have a 2022 F95 and no problem with ASS remembering to stay off with 03/2023.05.

The first drive it was back on but I switched it off and it's started off

Interesting. Did you have to code ASS off again after the update? Perhaps your model isn't affected after all. Perhaps that's why Bimmercode can't find a solution since it works for some but not others?

I have an F95 so ASS came set to off from the factory and it has always remembered that setting, BUT every software update I always have to reset a few things:

* Remote start enable
* Climate Control Seat rules turned back on
* Turn off ASS
* Re-enable Android Auto
* Re-enable Drive Recorder, though this time I didn't have to do that
* M1 & M2 buttons needed to be reprogrammed

and maybe there's 1 or 2 other little quirks I have to mess with

I don't have any coding otherwise.

Do you have anti-dazzle coded to work? Also does bimmercode still work with the latest update, or are modules locked out from bimmercode coding? But maybe this only applies to 2024 models.

I can speak to pre-LCI G05. I was able to code everything back after updating to 03/2023. I never coded anti-dazzle or ASS, though
