CarPlay (again!) arrrrrgh!

Driving me mad. Need comms in car for job and also use google maps a lot.

Currently can't get phone to link to car using apple car play. Deleted phone from car, tried re-linking. Tried the previous Wi-fi on-off tricks.

When linking goes through all the pair options and accepts but then spends 5mins trying to link phone with CarPlay before switching back to standard Bluetooth.

Also seem to be getting a second alias of my phone on the devices list - see photo. I'm not adding anything. Ideas? It's driving me mad.

Running on one of the July software updates and latest iOS which has been fine until this week. [IMG][/IMG]

When setting up your mobile device I have had the same behavior on my vehicle.

Delete your devices from the BMW mobile devices and just connect it for CarPlay you can then choose CarPlay or Bluetooth mode from there.

Setting up your phone as a Bluetooth device and then configuring CarPlay somehow creates two profiles.

I did this a while back but that was the process that worked for me
