I have 22inch wheels on my X5 which is on Adaptive M Suspension. It rides great. No complaint here at all. Adaptive DHP would be perfectly fine on 22s

Have the 22" on the X5 40i. Can't speak to the M50, but the 22s make the car's handling feel ungainly/top heavy and do compromise the ride. They look too large and goofy as well.
But I haven't driven the X5 with the 21" wheels, maybe the handling/ride isn't too different.

As for changing tires, I'd guess that less than 25% of all drivers in the US can change a flat tire. Of course, the members of this forum are not your typical drivers. P.S. - In addition to having run-flats on my X5, I do keep a spare tire, too. Last edited by bayarea328xit; 03-26-2021 at 01:25 AM.. Reason: add note |

I had run flats on my two 2017 BMWs. I live in the Houston area and decided against run flats for my new BMWs. I figure there are plenty of rollbacks to rescue us should a tire go flat. I also ordered the X5 with a spare. My new M5... no space for a spare. I wouldn't order an M5 with run flats anyways. Doesn't make sense. Last edited by TXDroneRacer; 03-26-2021 at 08:34 AM.. |
