Rear badge placement too high?

Someone pointed this out to me the other day the badge looking a bit high I never noticed it before. Now my OCD can’t stop looking at it, probably not worth having corrected. I guess the robot at the factory was working late on a Friday putting this on.

The actual distance should be 1/2 inch from the bottom...you are a bit higher, but you are centered, so it still looks good.

It looks a little above center to me, although that could be perspective from the pic. If I had seen a picture of the car with nothing said about the badge, I'm certain I wouldn't have noticed anything. Now it's out there. For me, once I notice something like that, it's sore tooth action, and I'd probably be forced to act.

Def higher than normal. Did you buy the car brand new or pre-owned? Wondering if there was ever any damage to the trunk requiring someone to reapply the badge. I highly doubt the factory would have done this since they have a template for badges.

It was a CPO, clean Carfax no accidents. Not sure why anyone would but maybe someone de badged it and the dealer slapped it on. Damn now I want it corrected lol.

I wouldn't sweat it. I wrapped my 22 X5MC and had to order a replacement badge. The dealer ended up installing mine in a similar spot. I'm extremely OCD but it has never bothered me.

Unless you meant a human as the robot, that nameplate is applied by an actual human with a template. And yes, it is mounted to high.

I like the wrap, and yeah I feel like a dealer put mine on who knows I wasn’t around. I think you are right keeping the way it is makes sense.

Rest assured I indeed understand this badge is placed too high.
