Fasten seatbelt won't stop chiming

Just got in my X5M and the seatbelt chime will not stop. I’m the only one in the car with the seatbelt buckle. Has anyone else in this issue? I’ve rebooted I drive and the issue persists.

This might be a silly q but, do you have anything heavy on any of the seats?

Dunno if BimmerCode will do the same for newer models. My wife's 2015 I was able to turn off the seatbelt reminders for all the seats. I love our Australian Shepherd... But dogs of that weight will trip the sensors every time....

Seatbelt wearing should be habitual anyway. I don't need a chime to remind me I have things to live for. 👍

Seat sensor is working, its the seat belt receptor. swap with other side, going to be a twist in the belt probably but at least its not honking at you all day.
On second thought the switch could activate when the belt is pulled out far enough.
