iOS 14 quirk: Wifi symbol shows as disabled on CarPlay screen

Today was the first time I got into the truck after upgrading to iOS 14. Everything seemed to work as it should but I got this 'wifi disabled' symbol on the carplay screen. It used to just say 5gE LTE or whatever. I unpaired and repaired my phone to CarPlay but the symbol is the same. It also now shows the phone being connected to the BMW in car wifi network (which it didn't on iOS 13). Maybe this is just updated symbol to show the BMW wifi itself has no internet but its certainly new behavior. Anyone else notice the change?

I noticed the same.
BTW this is not a Wi-Fi disabled symbol. It means Wi-Fi is connected but no Internet connection available through Wi-Fi.

well at least now we know for sure that Wireless CarPlay works over an ad hoc vehicle created network.
