Custom Wake Word Instead of "Hey BMW"

I have been reading any manuals I can find as I "patiently" await my delivery. Anyways, I saw where you can set a custom wake word instead of "Hey BMW". Just wondering how well this works and what everyone has been naming their X5?

Works extremely well. So well that if you say the word quickly during a conversation, the car hears it. My wake word is “Beamer”.

Here is where I am compelled to have the Bimmer vs Beamer argument but I refuse to follow the ways of the Troll

I had to change mine because anytime anybody said "BMW" in it she woke up. I disabled BMW and renamed her Giselle. She sounds like a Giselle and I don't have a Giselle in my life to confuse the lady in the dashboard

“Beamer” is actually a family name so its more of a fun correlation. I get into the same annoyance with how some pronounce “Por’ Sha”.

Does anyone have the issue where you give a voice command and the car "thinks" for like 30s? I believe it's a signal issue since the processing is done in the cloud

It’s happened once or twice. More like 15 seconds though.

mine seem like an eternity, but that could be a more accurate time estimate. It would say command filled or something like that
