Colormatch, IND Black grill and Plastidip trim and bumper X5

Posted previously about color matching Alpine White Xline. Had the paint work done at body shop and was happier with black plastic painted to match but felt it needed more so swapped out the chrome grill for IND Gloss Black and Plastidipped and clearcoated chrome around windows, the side vents, the bottom side trim and bumper piece above the skid plate. I'm pretty happy with the results although removing clear-coated Plastidip in the future might be a pain!

I am thinking about removing my rear badges, or trying to plasti-dip them. Any special tips or tricks doing the badges?

Would be too much time and hassle in my opinion. I completely removed the xdrive40i badge from mine and replaced the X5 with a black aftermarket one. Just took a few minutes.

Looks nice! You should replace the rear reflectors with white as well, will look even better in my opinion.

You can replace the front reflectors too. Clean look. IND has them.

I like the look you've achieved so far. How about blacking out the silver trim pieces on the bumper, side vents, and tail pipes? I also agree with Dgjo2022X5MC and bagd0003 mentioned about the reflectors -- color match them white

Looks good! I used plasti on my prior jeep GC window trim and it turned out great. I don’t think removal will be that simple after a couple years. When I sold it to the dealer, they didn’t seem to notice!
