It's unfortunate that the brave souls who are the first to test out new things for this car will be the ones who suffer from the lack or inadequacy of information available to them. |

If Gill from tirerack said they should fit the g05, but didn't mention anything about the load rating or safety of it, then I'm afraid the buyer is stuck. If Gill had said that the wheels would "work" or "be fine" for the G05, then the buyer should get tirerack to take them back because it would now be a safety hazard driving on wheels that weren't meant for such a big vehicle.

Just to be 100% clear, the load rating of the enkei ONX is 1840 per wheel for a total of 7340 for the set.
This information is confirmed by tirerack and Enkei usa. The wheel was designed for use by SUVs and crossovers. This puts this wheel over the required weight of the X5 by approximately 880 pounds... so is this setup safe? For my use yes, but if you are going to tow then this set is not for you... The kerb weight of the g05 x5 is 5170 (max options with v8) and gross is 6460 (max as well). And i am not affiliated with tirerack or enkei.... |

these came direct from BMW order system, for 19x9 and 20x9 with offsets of ET 38 and ET 35 respectively, but you have listed offset of ET 37 for a 20x9.5. is it the ".5" that changes the offset? just want to make sure I order the correct set.

Ordered 20x9 Niche Gamma’s and Michelin x-ice today. Should be shipped in a couple weeks.
Check out Niche wheels. Reasonably affordable and fit! http://www.mhtwheels.com/gamma-m190-w-10953.htm |

Sorry to be completely ignorant - but my understanding from the above is that wheels for the previous gen X6 will not fit new G05 X5 due to the bolt pattern? And in any event you need to go 20" for the M Sport brakes?
Thanks in advance team. |

When did you order?? I ordered on Oct 17 and the car arrived at the dealership last week - pretty much 6 weeks which is what I was told. Did you do an Individual order?

Ended up going with these ^^ mated with a set of 275/45/20 Blizzaks. The G509s weren't available in black and they have a lower load rating than the G508s. Thanks to bizfiend and Refujeet for the info in this thread. For those still worried about load rating, I'm told that each wheel is rated @ 1050 so a total of 4200...should be plenty for this bus. Getting mounted on Saturday and I'll post some pictures then for those interested. Until then, here is a photo Neil sent me of this set mounted on G05...I think that the black wheel will look a little nicer (i.e. better contrast) on my AW G05. . . |
