Battery

Guys I didn't find any category for the question u need to ask, so I decided to post it here. Every time I turn my car on is says that the battery charge decreased when there's no reason for it to do that because no lights are on. What could be the reason for that?

How long have you had the battery? They do have a life expectancy stored in the CPU based on how much is drawn over 'x' time, then you need to replace it and have the car coded to recognize a new battery.

Just FYI, you can post this under the General section under e90post. This section is universal for all BMWs and is for non-car issues

You have anything hooked up, like a dash cam, hardwired radar detector? If so, could be a possible vampire device thats not installed properly.

You most likely need a new battery. My 11 just got the batter replaced last month with the same error.

The car may be 4+ years old and you are in FL so it may be time for a new battery. FL heat kills car batteries.

I think 2011 e90s had some crap batteries installed.. I just replaced the battery in my wife's 328i ( made by exide) the original in my 09 335i is still going strong as is the original in my 09 118i e87.
