PPF coating quote

Hi:
I learned a lot from this forum and really appreciated info shared by folks.
Got a quote for PPF , want to know if it's a reasonable price:

###
If you are looking to prevent rock chips we also offer Suntek Ultra Paint Protection Film, our front end package covers:

-Full Hood
-Full Fenders
-Full Front Bumper
-Headilights
-Fog Lights
-Mirrors
-Door cups

This is $3195 installed with all edges possible wrapped and includes the coating application on the film as well.
###

Thanks

is it just for the full frontal PPF? What type of coating? A fully frontal wrap is generally $1800-2000 and full car ceramic (using a quality product such as Feynlabs) is $1200-2000 for the full car + wheels and brake calipers. I'll be paying $2900 for the full front wrap and ceramic due to getting both at the same place

I paid $1600 for the same as your quote with only partial fenders. Would've been $2000 for the same
coverage in your quote. They're way over priced. Where are you located? Also look at Dynoshield STEK. It's a little smoother than the Suntek film.

$1500-1750 is pretty standard for partial front coverage, and $1800-2000 for full front. I'm getting the whole front (headlights, grill fenders, hood, bumper, a pillars, area on the roof between my windshield and sunroof, door handles, door cups and lower skirts wrapped in Suntek ultimate for $2k so the extra few hundred is absolutely worth the protection. I'm not ceramic coating my PPF because it's redundant.

Thanks all for your input.
I'm in bayarea, CA, and that's all info I got from the shop. I think I need to do more research about PPF coating stuff. Over $3000 just for the front is kinda pricey to me.

I just Yelped installers in the East Bay and found Advanced Vehicle Outfitters in Walnut Creek. The reviews are steller. Check them out. I just sent a request for a quote. I'll let you know.https://www.yelp.com/biz/advanced-ve...ek-13?start=20

Are any of you Texas members in the Austin area? If so, do you have recommendations for installers? Thanks.

I live West of both those places but I've heard really good things about Sharp AutoShield which is who I'm going through for my X5. I some extensively with the owner's son who does a lot of their work and he knows his stuff really well.

Here's their website: https://www.sharpautoshields.com in the Dallas/Ft Worth area.

In Houston, I used Xpel located in Spring. They did a fantastic job. It takes a couple of days so be prepared to be without your car during that time.

Full front package covers: $1650

. Full fenders
. Headlights
. Mirros
. Door cups
. Door edges
. Cargo area of your rear bumper

I start wondering what's the magic :

I had also gotten quotes less than $2000 for everything... My opinion..unfortunately with ppf and ceramic you get what you pay for.

Quality of paint correction and clean lines install of ppf makes a difference. Is the installer using a kit, do they have a plotter, do they do full edge wrap, do they do free cuts... How clean is the shop.. Do you see other high end cars inside.. All things I looked for.

The actual type of ceramic may not make as much of a difference as we like to think... As long as you go with a mainstream option like opticoat, cquartz, etc

My 2 cents

Cquartz isn't a quality ceramic per many detailers I've been to for the record. I agree in regards to getting what you pay for though. I always visit the shop beforehand and see what vehicles they're doing and how the end result is.

I agree 100% with AndroidRobot, there a are lot of installers who have no clue what their are doing. I got sucked into a deal because of the savings and it was horrible. It took me a while to find the right installer for PPF, keep in mind I’ve been protectcting my vehicles with PPF and Ceramic Coatings for 10 years so I’ve been through them all. Spend the time and most important the money to get the job done right. Many many horror stories out there.

Where did you have yours installed? What Brand material and even company do you recommend to install? Do you have photos of your G05 with the wrap? I have the same color as you so it would be great to see.
