Can anyone tell me what a reasonable discount off MSRP would be on a 2020 X5 40i xdrive 36 month lease. Only one dealer within 50 miles in my area so not expecting much. Thanks!!

I’m working on a deal as we speak, more details to come later! It’s a very strong discount for a 2020 order. Hopefully it works out and isn’t just fluff from the dealer.

Well there's about approximately $2900 in VA taxes, $925 in acquisition, $140 fees, plus dealer processing $300 (MD) to $600 (VA).

Is your selling price $80K less above, then you're not getting much of a discount.

If your selling price is $73,800 plus taxes, title, tags, fees, then you're getting 7.8% off MSRP which is OK. For our region you should be getting 8-9% off MSRP easily excluding any incentives.

VA dealers charge around $500-600 in dealer processing fees versus MD which is $300 max.

Please break down your numbers to get a better evaluation of your deal.

Thanks, I’ll have the breakdown tomorrow morning from the dealer but the $73,800 includes taxes, title, tags, & fees (final OTD price); estimating this until I get the breakdown but I’m looking at ~$10,000 off the MSRP of $80,370 (so in the 10% discount range before the $2K finance incentive; 12% range including that).

Two other dealers in the area were $1,500 or so above that OTD price.

My dealer e-mailed me back after a week and with a little more back and forth this is where we ended up.

2020 M50i
MSRP: 89895
Selling Price: 80,905
Rebates: 1,750
Adjusted Price: 79,155
Base MF
Don’t have a note number yet

When I didn’t hear back from the dealer last week I started working with a broker on a few other options. He told me to counter at 77,385 adjusted which the dealer declined & said 79,155 is the lowest they will go. I figure by the time I travel & drive back the $1,797 difference will decrease a bit. This is just a lot of money and making sure everything looks good. Appreciate everyone’s feedback over the past few weeks.

That's a great deal! It is a lot, I've been tracking my leases where it's increasing $8-10K every 3 years LOL.

I think a lot of dealers would have declined 77,385 (13.9% off before incentives). In 2+ more years that discount percentage will be achievable when the G05 model year matures.

Keep everyone posted on your delivery!

It depends. Would aim for 8-10% off MSRP before incentives. I leased in Maryland and got 11.5% off MSRP before incentives. Keep emailing dealers around your area. I took a greyhound 200 miles to pick it up.

The broker I’m working with has gotten great deals but the cars have all been close but missing 1 thing that we don’t want to compromise on. Making a decision this morning I hope. I’m over it all lol.

That's a pretty good deal. Corporate fleet incentive is only applicable to purchase or can be applied to lease as well? Any eligibility criteria that I should know of?

Should I counter for another 1% off (pre-incentive)?

I got it through my employer but in looking at the T&C, it looks like it applies to leases as well. Also notes it can’t be combined with USAA/College Grad Program/etc. I’m not sure if that’s just specific for mine or if another employer’s Corporate Sales Program would have different rules.

Some members got 12% on 2020 models. It can be achieved if the dealer is desperate to make a deal. So far the signs look positive

Corporate fleet rates are available for purchases and leasing. Restrictions would be receiving rebate incentives like BMWCCA - unless that's changed recently.

Corporate fleet rates are available for purchases and leasing. Restrictions would be getting rare incentives like BMWCCA - unless that's changed recently.
BMWCCA rules have changed recently. After taking delivery of M5, subscribed for 3 yr membership and applied the rebate immediately. $1000 Check was delivered in 6 weeks.

So I just put down my deposit for our lease today. So I can now sign up for BMWCCA or should I wait till we take delivery?

Also is this rebate a 1 time thing, or can you get a rebate every 3 years?

One rebate per calendar year

I would become a member before the increase

The 3 yr membership provision has been in effect for a year or so. The corporate fleet exclusion has not changed and you can't get the BMWCCA rebate if you took a fleet discount.
