I too was interested in BRG. But these photos look terrible. I think Manhattan Green looks better.

Nope. Bad pictures.

It looks real good

I saw this in person . Along with a brg / tartufo x7
Yes, tartufo and BRG. But chrome or blacked out?
The x7 was Blacked out and black calipers .

However it did have the factory chrome badging.

The X5m is a comp ...
The X7 looked great. Have a look at the sticker. Wonder how this happened, mistake? And $100k for a 40... ouch

Oh, yeah . The build sheet shows that too . I was told that the X7 took months to show up due to COVID. It was always meant to be BRG.

I don't believe its a "mistake" in the color. I think is was more of a quirk from the BMW side.

I have seen examples where there is an ordering code for Special individual paint. Maybe the orderwent in with the special paint code and a manual note to process under BRG.

Pure speculation here.

Back to the topic. Random shots of the brg X5m . Not the best angles but that's all I got. I was trying to capture different lighting with an iPhone .

On the Individual Configurator, when you select any Individual Color, the following message now pops up:

Please note that with 490 BMW Individual paint the function “Lane change assistant”, which is a part of option 5AU “Driving assistant professional” has to be deactivated. This happens by adding option 8TR "decoding additional function".

Curious if anyone knows why this has to be deactivated due to Individual Paint?

I got this on my frozen black m8 and what is does is disable auto lane switching during driving assist.

From discussing in the m8 forum, looks like these colors are not certified/calibrated some how with use on lane change sensors.

Probably something like that, makes sense.

Anyway, I’m not even sure I would order the Driving Assistant Professional option, doesn’t seem like it belongs in an M car. But then again I’m not stuck in commuting slow-go freeway traffic everyday either.

I love the driving assistant when driving long distances, basically the car drives by itself. all you need is sit and relax.
I won't buy another car without it
