Code Steering Wheel Comfort Access
Hi guys,
5 weeks into my M50d ownership and loving the car. But I have a question..... I have comfort access, with the steering wheel retracting when you switch the ignition off. The irony is that this makes it harder to get my legs out from under the steering wheel because of my seat position. So.... The question is.... Can you code the car so that the steering wheel doesn't move? I.e just switch that feature off. I've searched the forum for this question but came up empty handed. I've used Bimmercode to modify a few things so ideally I'd like to be able to do it with that app. Any help would be great. Kev

That's a very good question.
It was possible on earlier model of x5 but I'm not sure it is with the g05. I might take a look as it's something I want to code off. Not because it's not desirable, I like it, but because the mechanism is so unreliable. It sticks in the retracted position very occasionally and needs a few hours sleep to reset. |

So... was doing a trawl around sample codes for this issue and identified the following 2 lines from another vehicle....
30C0 ElectricSteeringWheelAdjust Easy Entry axis inclination active (normally active): FRM > EINSTIEGSH_NG_AKTIV Easy Entry axis length active: FRM > EINSTIEGSH_LN_AKTIV I know very often that there is more than one entry that needs addressing for coding but just wondered if these might point in the right direction? |

The only help will be if you identify codes that exist on your vehicle. |

I confess it was a search around other coding forums initially... and yes I know thats dangerous. If I get chance tonight i'll see if I can find them or similar on my car and report back.

If it's even possible, the coding has changed significantly since the F series. |
