Bike rack

Cross shopping the X5m and the Cayenne GTS. Recognize performance is not comparable but price points are. Have a couple of kids and would like to use the SUV to load bikes on occasionally. I assume roof racks are definitely an option but has anyone done a tow hitch? haven't been able to find anything. I assume the diffuser is likely the issue but has anybody come across a solution?

Thanks in advance

I'm also looking for a bike rack for my X6. The best one with out the fuckery of finding a place to weld one on is the SeaSucker!

Looks like it's the next best thing!

I highly recommend a stealth hitch to open up hitch mounted rack options (and towing capabilities) with a 2" receiver. If all you'll ever need is an inch and a quarter for a bike rack, though, there are cheaper, albeit more visible, solutions. I had a stealth hitch on my F97 and will install one on my new F95. Loved it.

Can you recommend a brand that has an option for the F95/F96.

I reached out to Stealth Hitches as their website configurator did not pull up the X5M Comp. However, they replied that they do have an application for it. Worth the extra money given it's hidden when not in use. perfect set up. Thanks

I bought a bike rack from a local bike shop. Basically a bunch of straps that use tension to holds the bikes. This one holds two bikes. I'll look for the receipt to let you know brand name, but it was very inexpensive, under $50, I tipped the employee about $15 to attach it to my car. It has been very easy for me to attach once I saw him do it. Only issue it will only carry narrow frame bikes. I had to throw my son's bike in the trunk because the top of the bike frame was too thick to fit in the snaps. It just dawned on me I never took pics. I carry my bikes on 250 mile trips to my other house, so it works fine.

I received my Hitch a couple weeks ago from Stealth Hitch for X6M. Have not installed it yet.

I have a stealth hitch on my wife's GLS450, it has worked out very well. I like to mountain bike and often have four bikes in tow when kids and/or friends are with me. I'm hoping they can do one for the X5M because I'm leaning strongly toward that after my M4 lease runs out, assuming I can get add a hitch. Let us know what you decide, how it works, and what in the vehicle needed to be modified.

FYI, I'm a big fan of the Kuat NV 2.0.

So, Draw-tite makes a pretty cheap one apparantly....

Granted, the website says it's not M compatible, but that same site sells the Stealth Hitch and says it too is incompatible with our F95 when instead the Stealth Hitch is indeed compatible. I'd verify with draw-tite, but it might be an option.
