Joe Achilles doesn’t like performance SUVs, so I wouldn’t pay much attention to his biased opinions. X6MC is a wonderful car!

Looks fantastic SAV...anyday would pick this one over audi RSQ8 or cayenne coupe.

yes. I test drove one. It feels plenty comfortable on the street and feels very planted too - something is wrong with the British roads or Joe Achilles himself.

Definitely agree with the aggressive camber and the resulting tramlining & uneven tire wear.

I'm still happy with mine and I still enjoyed watching the video.

Bummer that Uk gets options us in the US don't have. I'm super pleased with my car, however, I would have absolutely opted for sky lounge, ambient air, and a few others.

Camber is super aggressive and will chew up tires in less than 10k miles. Going to ask my SA if I can rotate left to right, taking the tire off the wheel. Have done it in the past with my f86.

It's the latter of the two options......Maryland roads aren't subpar to British roads. F97 comp stock was fine in northern Italy; Tuscany and below was a different story. The stock vehicle was unacceptable as a DD here IMHO. MSS springs made it bearable. F95 started from a much more compliant stance, comparitively speaking, but it's still unacceptable for my personal use here. Whenever we discuss acceptable comfort, it's of paramount importance to consider prior acceptance (M3 Heritage) and actual family needs. These factors significantly influence what one is, and is not, willing to accept.

Kinda odd, I generally like his reviews. Thought he was a bit unfair.

Yes, he was unfair. Joe Achilles is a lil macho man who firmly believes that SUVs (including BMW M SAVs) should be soft riding soccer mom cars.

it's a bit odd really as his review of the X5MC was complimentary, including the ride / suspension settings. i'm assuming the X6MC and X5MC have similar ride / suspension set-up.

the X5MC ride is stiffer than my wife's X5 40i with air suspension but it's perfectly acceptable on British roads as in general the main "A" roads and motorways (freeways) are in good condition. it's only really smaller / rural "B" roads where you see more potholes. a little less stiffness with the MSS springs will be welcome, but for me the MSS springs are more about the looks than trying to fix a stiffness issue.

His X3M review was pretty unfair and ridiculous. He even duct taped a pillow to his head to protect himself from the excessively harsh ride.

ha, my 10 and 12 year old boys love it, we've have the occasional hour in the car when their mum is in the bath at night where we have a sing-song

hopefully the photo is orientated correctly this time!

i did think twice about posting that!!

i didn't realise that the spec in different regions could be so different.

Yes, the Euro OPF isn't a nice as the US, i did have a peek at the Akrapovic but unlikely i'll be able to stomach the price ... but we'll see
