features/gadgets list?
was trying to find a thread on this...
i don't mean like an options list but a run through of all the new gadgets and functions... for intance those door handle lights would be one. I'd like to compare the list with what the new IS350 will have... couple of things it will have: rear camera (comes with nav system) the adaptive headlights that point to the direction of your turn (came from the RX330)... A radar that breaks for you if you come up too abruptly to say a car in front of you... thanks. |

if you got the manual...the automatic break for hills is amazing...holds the car still for 2.5 seconds before rolling backwards...probably one of the best features for me.

Here's a list of some things I found pretty cool. They're not exclusive to BMW, but pretty cool. Go for a test drive and look for them in the bimmer and in the other cars you're looking at.
-LEDs under the door handles -Valet key fob, and terminals for just the key part (glovebox, trunk, door handles). Putting the key in the door lock and turning it holding it will close all the windows and sunroof (if open) -DVD navi...doesn't have rear camera, but you can do some cool things through it like check vehicle settings, view when maintenance should be performed, change radio/climate/map/communication all through iDrive. -Set a "speed limit" so the chime goes off when you hit a programmable speed. -Seat belt goes off the entire ride if you don't buckle up (good or bad???) -Dual climate controls -Adapatve headlights (and settings -slow, normal, or sensitive) -Active steering, active/radar cruise control -Fold down seats/ski bag -All doors lock after 5 mph (programmable setting) -New E90 windshield wipers are supposed to be the best around these days -Ipod connectivity, CD text (no DVD movies), and I believe there is still some questions about MP3 cds. Not sure if that was ever resolved. Anyway, they are just a few things I found pretty cool about my car. I'm sure there's more that I forgot, but that's it for now. I hope this is what you were looking for! EDIT: Oh yeah, I can't forget the Run flat tires or the Angel Eye headlights!!! |

ok, this was posted earlier in a different thread, but where the hell is that rain catch on the front windshield that's supposed to be removable (i.e. to discard leaves, dirt)? I looked and looked but I didn't see anything like that on my E90.

I think the thread "God is in the Details" is what you may want to check out. Good info in there.

German engineered. German built. Ask your Toyota (oops, I mean Lexus) dealer if that's an option.

The leaves collect in a low spot. In that low spot is a black plastic screen that you can take out to clean . |
