That's better than me - I've heard nothing from the dealer (Sytner High Wycombe) so far. Mine's also a company car so I expect similar arrangements.

Great news Gary, good to see they're not messing around and being proactive about delivery.

I think mines didn't make the Orion highway, possibly on the apollon highway which is due into Southampton 21st Dec.

Will need to see the pictures of your cars once they are delivered to tide me over.

Mine was a company car and was delivered direct and no via the dealer . I didnt mind as it speeded up the delivery. Had it 6 weeks and love it

I feel for you with some of us seeing some progress. It's been hell waiting since late June for mine to arrive, even though I have a perfectly nice Audi A6 on the drive waiting for it's retirement (well from me).

Sytner High Wycombe contacted me to arrange delivery - first offer was 6th January but I've asked them if they can improve on that. They tell me that they won't receive my car until 21st December.

First world problems, but can't believe how slowly things are moving.

Would it be worth picking up yourself? Maybe the dealer would fill the tank since you'd be saving them a delivery?

I've asked if this is a possibility. I'm hoping to get a date agreed on Monday.

As the X5s are made in the US does this not mean that they avoid a further tariff if there is a no deal Brexit?

Believe so yes - there's a plan for the UK to drop import tariffs on US goods from 1st Jan to help get a trade deal set up.

Congratulations.

Sytner High Wycombe came back to me this morning confirming that they can't get my car from Southampton until 21st December and earliest delivery date is 6th January.

Something to look forward to, but would have been nice in time for Christmas.

A week tomorrow - nearly there, hopefully the final week will pass quickly in the run up to Xmas.

Pity about the delay till 6th Jan on your delivery Brummy...after all the delay in starting production and shipping it's so close - bit frustrating but I guess Xmas shutdown impacting. Something to look forward to once Xmas has passed.

I'm hoping to get mines by the 8th Jan - think it's going to be arriving in Southampton around 22nd Dec. The 530e has been extended a week.

Got an order in today for the front and rear rubber mats plus rubber boot mat at local dealer - £200 all in. I also ordered the black kidney grille to replace the chrome one. I was ok with the chrome but seen a new X5 with the black one yesterday and looked good. Grille was around £175. Local dealer (parks of Hamilton) parts guy said they have a 25% discount on till end of December on accessories - in case anyone is interested. Don't know if that's a UK wide discount or at a dealer level only.

That’s a good price for the mats! I’ve just got the front and rears - never found myself having a need for a boot mat but that may change.

I’m going to live with the chrome grille to begin with - see what it’s like in the flesh but could be tempted by the black one as well.

Looking forward to it arriving on Tuesday.

Ian335xd Still picking yours up today?

Seemed a reasonable price - I checked another dealer (cotswolds) and they were £245 v £200 local to me although may be a little of the extra was for delivery charge.

Look forward to seeing some pics posted once you get yours Gary.

My delivery to dealer is now 1-10 Jan - thinking I should see it end of 2nd or 3rd week of Jan if deliveries are not impacted by latest covid restriction announcements.

No not gone to plan. Had a phone call at 5pm Friday to tell me the head up display wasn't working and they were talking to BMW to get it resolved and would ring me Monday with a update. Salesman was putting it the showroom ready for collection when he noticed it, shame it wasn't picked up earlier

Oh that is annoying - but you’re right, how has that not been picked up earlier?! Fingers crossed for a quick fix.

Yep she's here! Arrived at 7.30am yesterday morning - I was still in bed! Haven't managed to get any pics yet as it's been either raining or dark or both!

Only annoying thing I've noticed so far is the camera alignment is very slightly out so parking space lines don't look completely straight.
